This captioning is quick and inexpensive. The text will be edited to the same high quality. Once that is done, we import the text into the captioning software and time it. The text is not broken down (which is okay in most cases). We only take care that words like Mr. Doe and New York are kept together. We make sure that the text does not cover any lower thirds in the video. Other than that, we do not add speaker ID, italicize, add lyric (we add music symbols). This kind of captioning does the job.
This kind of captioning is about 95% accurate in terms of the text. We still use human being to transcribe and time. We get the video transcribed by our US based transcribers (who are pretty good) and then straight send it for timing.
If you already have a caption file and you need it to be reformat to meet new specs for a different network, we cand do that for: $3.00 per minute. If a lot of editing is done, we’ll charge $1.00 per minute extra.
Live Closed Captioning
We caption anything that speaks. And we do it live. We use certified live captioners with years of experience. We can do it using telephone lines or through web based technology.

There are many nuances to a CCSL. Depending on the detail needed, the CCSL can cost anywhere from $16.00 per minute to $28 per minute. A standard CCSL looks like this and costs $16.00 per minute. Call us for samples and a formal quote.

35 mm film runs at 24 frames per second. Each foot of film has 16 frames. So each second of film has 1.5 feet. Or one feet and 8 frames. The film footage converts the video time code or 29.97, 30, 23.98 into the number of frames. It’s a pretty tedious process if you don’t know what you are doing. But in our case, we do know what we are doing. We come from a background of film and video.

What are forced narratives?
1. Any onscreen text you see in a movie that is subtitled also needs to be translated on screen. For example, signs like ‘Do not enter’, which may be pertinent to the action.
2. If a movie in language 1 is translated to language 2, and there are parts in the movie in which characters talk in a third language, these parts are also to be translated to the target language. This is also forced narrative.

The prices will vary as one would still have to see the entire video to capture instances of forced narrative. We have structured the price for forced narrative keeping that in mind. So we charge a standard $5.00 per minute viewing charges for the entire length of the movie and $20.00 for the parts that need the translation.

There’s a minimum charge of $100 for this job.
